Teaser: Racer by Katy Evans

Racer, an all-new standalone in the Real Series from New York Times bestselling author Katy Evans is coming September 28th!!!

A bad boy with something to prove.

A woman with a mission. The race of their lives. The love of a lifetime.

I don’t think his parents expected him to live up to his name—Racer Tate—but once he felt the adrenaline rush behind the wheel, he was addicted.

He’s the fastest, fiercest driver around.

Scouting new talent brings me to his doorstep…but his smile sends me to my knees.

The sexy, mysterious Racer Tate is not the kind of man a girl like me falls for. He’s secretive, reckless, elusive. But his proximity pushes me beyond reason, and his kiss….

This is our last chance to win, and he is our only hope. I’m supposed to watch him—make sure he doesn’t get into trouble. But it’s an impossible task. And now the one in heart wrenching, toe-curling, soul-crushing trouble is me. Because when your heart belongs to someone, their truths become your own, and their secrets become your salvation…or your curse.

He says he wants me. He says I’m the One. But he also thinks he’ll break my heart, one piece at a time until it’s gone.

Blog Tour & Review: Long For Me by Stacey Lynn

0917_9781488028267_Long_For_Me_Web

The Cover: I am in LOVE with this cover! The tension with the kiss, the beautiful lace behind the text! Seriously head over heels in love with this cover! A+

Basics: Long For Me was released on September 4th 2017, published by Carina Press and is 219 pages long. Genre wise Long For Me belongs in contemporary romance.

Description: My boss already controls my days; do I want to give him my nights, as well?

Rebecca: I’ve seen what happens when you give everything to a man. That’s not what I want. I won’t have my heart crushed in anyone’s fist.

Then he changed everything. Him. Bennett Ashby. My boss.

Seeing him at Luminous, dressed in leather pants and wielding a whip…

Do I crave this? My mind says no, but my body is starting to have very different ideas.

Bennett: I knew Rebecca Morales would be the perfect assistant. That’s why I hired her.
I didn’t know that working with her every day would lead to temptation—to own her, to possess her.

When she walked into Luminous, I knew I was screwed. Dipping your pen in the company ink is never smart, but we both agreed what happens at the club stays there.

One night and then it’s back to business tomorrow. Except I don’t want just one night with Rebecca. I want them all.

Overall thoughts: Long For Me sadly is the last book in the Luminous series and I am going to miss it so much! But what a fantastic way to finish it off! I didn’t think anyone could compare to the first Dominate Me (which was the first book in this series and my favorite) but wow! I was wrong! Long For Me blew me away and I love each word from beginning to finish! Rebecca and Bennett’s chemistry literally leap off the page and had me reaching for my fan because WOW…those two are fiery hot.

Each couple in each book had a different story or issue with their relationship and I honestly thought Rebecca and Bennett’s was the best because it was just tugged at my heartstrings a bit. I don’t think a lot of contemporary romance relationships touch on why some of their characters struggle of their past or issues they dealt with enough; so I really appreciated Rebecca’s story because it made their relationship more meaningful and special.

If you want to read about a stubborn, hard working woman and a hot headed (but also stubborn, if not more!) man with mixed emotions that are deep as the ocean but has a such a steamy sexuality that makes you blush book, Long For Me is the book you are looking for and I highly suggest you read it.

I am going to miss this series very much! Dominate Me was one of the books I reviewed after I started Amorette’s Reviews late last year and this series will always be special and close to my heart. Stacey Lynn has a life long fan out of this reader and blogger!

“You love the way I make you feel.” “You make me feel out of control.” -Bennett and Rebecca.

“You infuriating, crazy woman. I’m going to love mining the depths of you.” -Bennett

Review: American Prince by Sierra Simone

Oh my goodness this book RUINED, WRECKED AND BROKE ME. I love Sierra Simone and the American Queen series so much oh my goodness American Prince seriously ripped my heart out. Embry is literally one of my favorite male characters and I can relate to him a lot which I think is one of the main reasons I was so emotionally invested in this book. On top of that Sierra is a goddess with her amazing writing, CRAZY plot twists and sensual characters. This review will contain spoilers and ratings of a crazed book lover/reviewer, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

AP

The Cover: The American Trilogy series has some of the best covers in the romance genre I think and American Prince is gorgeous. Greer’s cover (American Queen) was blue and Embry’s (American Prince) is this gorgeous red and I am hoping American King will be white. A red, blue and white combo book covers would fabulous on my bookshelf! So here’s hoping! Anyway love this cover A++

Basics: American Prince is the second book in the American Queen trilogy and it is 330 pages.

AP 2.png

Description: I’ve been many things.

I’ve been a son and a stepbrother. An Army captain and a Vice President.

But only with him am I a prince. His little prince.

Only with Maxen and Greer does my world make sense, only between them can I find peace from the demons that haunt me. But men like me aren’t made to be happy. We don’t deserve it. And I should have known a love as sharp as ours could cut both ways.

My name is Embry Moore and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States…for now.

This is the story of an American Prince.

***This is the second book in the American Queen Trilogy***

Overall thoughts: When I read American Queen, I didn’t expect to love it so much and I most certainly didn’t think that three people would be able to truly fall in love and truly love one another. I was very wrong and immediately fell in love with Greer, Ash and Embry’s story and how they all connected to one another and fell in love. American Queen ended on a cliff hanger and I knew that somehow Ash and Embry would save Greer without a doubt, HOWEVER I did not expect what would happen in the rest of American Prince. Sure, a hostile, enemy country is one problem but when your own family and friends are turning against you in your own country…I tend to think that is a bigger problem than Mewlas. The plot twists in this book, holy mother of chocolate..they just kept coming! First there were some small twists with Embry when they were soldiers, I didn’t think that they had such a hard time. I knew Embry said no to marrying Ash, but SEVEN years of going and forth? Yikes. The fact that Abilene was working with the Carpathians didn’t surprise me, but when she took it a step further and released her and the video of Greer and Embry? Seriously? AND SHE DID IT AGAIN when she blackmailed Morgan and Embry…seriously? One of the plot twists that made me really, really angry was the fact that Merlin told Embry not to marry Ash. So to recap: Merlin told Greer over and over (from when she was little girl to a teenager) to stay away from Ash and now we find out that he also told Embry to basically stay away from Ash? SERIOUSLY?! I don’t trust that dude AT ALL. Now the biggest plot twist and truth bomb of all…Ash has a child, a son…with his sister. What the heck? Abilene is blackmailing Embry and is apparently pregnant with his child, Ash is in shambles over the news of finding out he’s a father and Embry is quitting his Vice President position and is planning to run against Ash in the next election? AND WE HAVE TO WAIT TILL AUGUST/SEPTEMBER FOR AMERICAN KING? I just can’t. I haven’t been this upset over a book since JK Rowling killed off Dumbledore from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince six years ago.

Biggest. Book. Hangover. Ever.

AP 3.png

Couple Chemistry Rating: 5/5 +++++++++++++++++++++

Favorite Quotes: “You’re sick. “No sweetheart, you’re sick. “I am, I know I am.” “We both are.” “That’s why he likes us.” Greer & Embry

“Little Princes couldn’t play with kings. They’d be destroyed.” -Embry

“I’m done running from you. I tried and it didn’t matter–you haunted me everywhere I went.” “And you haunted me. My little prince.” -Embry and Ash

“One, my king was broken. And two, I didn’t know how to fix him.” -Embry

“I have to become more than a prince. I have to become a king myself.”
ap 4.png

Final thoughts: I have so many questions but most of all, with the way American Prince ended…I have NO CLUE how anyone (mainly Greer, Ash and Embry) will be happy, together, not together or at all. I seriously have no clue how Sierra is going to fix all of the messes that occured but I’m hoping she will!!! My biggest question for this book is this with the ending quote: “I have to become more than a prince. I have to become a king myself.” I am SO confused. So that obviously means Embry is running against Ash for President…BUT instead of the three of them together, does Embry running against Ash mean he just wants Greer for himself? Is the love story between Greer, Ash and Embry officially over? It needs to be August like right now because until then I am going to be dying waiting for the next installment in the American Queen series, American King

Review: American Queen by Sierra Simone

AQ.jpg

The Cover: I adore this cover! I enjoy where most romance books have couples on the cover and they are very beautiful, intriguing and hot; but at the same time I’m loving the direction where a lot of romance books I’ve seen this year have been a cover of one person. Whether that’s the heroine of the book or the leading man, I like the change. American Queen’s cover is gorgeous and it’s always nice to see a picture of the heroine on the cover. This is who the story focuses on right? So why not put the leading lady on the a book cover? Bam! Seriously, American Queen is probably one if not my favorite book cover this year.

Basics: American Queen was released on October 24 2016 and I am happy to say is book one in a planned trilogy. It is available on Amazon and Ibooks. American Queen is 392 pages long.

Description: It starts with a stolen kiss under an English sky, and it ends with a walk down the aisle.

It starts with the President sending his best friend to woo me on his behalf, and it ends with my heart split in two.

It starts with buried secrets and dangerous desires…and ends with the three of us bound together with a hateful love sharper than any barbed wire.

My name is Greer Galloway, and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States.

This is the story of an American Queen.

AQ2.jpg

Overall thoughtsWOW is literally the word that comes to mind when I think of American Queen. I was not expecting a lot of things such as how beautifully Sierra Simone writes, the way she easily weaves words together just takes my breathe away. The characters and story of American Queen had me setting down my kindle because I was so mesmerized by them and I honestly didn’t want the book to end. I was very, very happy to find out that there would be two more books but I had such a hard time finishing because I did not want this book to end. Ever.

But enough of me gushing! Let’s move on to some of the the surprises I was discussing earlier. Now when you look at the book’s description, it obviously talks about Greer being in love with the President of the United States and how there’s some sort of love triangle going on in the book. What I did NOT expect was for Greer, Ash, the President of the United States and Embry, the Vice President of the United States loving one another. All three of them in love with each other. I was shocked and in a good way, because usually in romance stories are between two straight people. It’s 2016 and I was so happy to see a different style romance being put into words and it’s something different. It’s been done before sure and I have read similar stories like American Queen with a couple involving another person but nothing beats the writing of this book.

I am a military wife so I really appreciated reading about about both Ash and Embry’s background serving in the military and how they basically fell for one another fighting and protecting each other. I also really liked how Simone broke up the book into sections because Greer, Ash and Embry’s story doesn’t just happen overnight, it spans years. Again, something I really like reading about because most romance books see couples falling for each other just out of the blue with no history between them. Which is completely fine but it means so much more when there’s background between characters.

I have NO IDEA where the story is going to go next but I’m so excited to see where and how takes the story of Greer, Ash and Embry next!

I just want to make a small note before I finish this section of this post: Fictional or not, everyone falls for each other differently and attractions vary. I like reading romance books because every character is different and each couple or couples have different relationships. Again, it’s 2016 and it’s so refreshing to read about something different because each character and person in this world deserve to find happiness regardless of their gender or sexual orientation, again both fictional and real. Love is love.

Favorite characters: OH MY GOSH. I adore Embry! I really love Ash too but ah! Greer is also fascinating to me because she has so many different sides to her and I think she is very relatable too. I also really liked her Grandfather although he had minimal parts in American Queen.

Couple Chemistry Rating: 5/5 Shells
5 shells

Bad character awards: Abilene. Just…read American Queen and you’ll find out why…but seriously, she is the reason why women hate and have issues supporting one another.

Favorite Quotes: I had SO MANY favorite quotes from this book! So I apologize if it’s a lot more than I usually post but it was seriously that good.

“I’m not just walking down the aisle to the man I’ve been in love with since I was sixteen, I’m walking down the aisle to marry the President of the United States.” -Greer

“You barely know me.” “You’re a war hero and the President of the United States. If I can’t trust you, I can’t trust anybody.” -Ash and Greer

“You’re with me. You’re not with him. You’re giving this to me.” -Embry (I mean..holy hell. All the heart eyes.)

“I love you. Surely you already know that. You must know.” -Ash

“This was supposed to by my fairy tale, with me as the princess and Ash as the prince, but there’s a third person ere, a person we both want and who wants both of us.” -Greer

Final thoughts: I loved American Queen and I will be waiting with bated breath for the sequel! I highly, HIGHLY suggest checking out American Queen if you are wanting to read something sexy and swoon worthy, but also fun and truly showcases what true love is and how far people are willing to go for the people they love. I hope you enjoyed this review and I hope you check out American Queen and Sierra Simone!

Release Blitz & Review: Mr. Big by Delancey Stewart

cover-mrbig (7).jpg

The Cover: *swoon* Who doesn’t love an attractive guy with dark features and a brooding stare on a cover of a book? In love with this cover. A+

Basics: Mr. Big was released on August 29th 2017, published by Loveswept and is 243 pages long. Genre wise Mr. Big belongs to standalone and contemporary romance.

Description: Once upon a time, I had everything: money, power, a multi million-dollar company, a loving family. Well, at least I thought I had everything. Then my parents died, and I found out my whole life was based on a lie. That’s pretty much the moment when I went numb. Told the world to f*** off and went on a bender of epic proportion, just to see how far I could fall before I hit rock-bottom.

Now I’m back and all I want in this world is my morning—okay, afternoon—coffee. Then one of my employees has the nerve to call me out for cutting the line at the coffeehouse at the company I own. Sure, I’m a little scruffier than usual, but come on, bitching out the CEO? Not a smart career move. Just who does this smart-mouthed ball-buster think she is? And more important, what do I have to do to get her number?

Holland O’Dell may be uptight, but I wouldn’t mind taking her back to my place and ripping off that business-casual blouse/skirt combo and burying myself in her curves. She pushes my buttons, but at least I’m feeling something. And whatever it is, I won’t stop until I get more.

mb 2.png

Overall thoughts: I really enjoyed reading Mr. Big; as a reader and book blogger I have a thing for fictional angsty, brooding men. Although they can be real jerks, there is always a reason why they act the way they do. It might not be right or likable at first but I like to read about characters like that for some reason. Especially when there is redemption involved and usually 9/10 there is. I really loved the story between Holland and Oliver, two lost souls but connected with similar pasts under different circumstances.

Their chemistry was amazing and the will they or won’t they scenario wrecked me in every good way possible when I was reading Mr. Big. They had their problems within themselves and with each other but what I really loved and admired Holland and Oliver was how they helped one another grow. Mr. Big will probably make the list of my favorite standalone of 2017. Definitely a must read!

Review: Fallen Heir by Erin Watt!

fallen heir.jpg

The Cover: Erin Watt books have the most unique beautiful covers! My favorite cover will probably always be a tie between Paper Princess and Broken Prince, but Fallen Heir is gorgeous and is very fitting for Easton I think. Reed was very much a dark Prince, but Easton reminds me more of a trouble making Earl so the scepter is perfect. A+

Basics: Fallen Heir was released on August 28th 2017, is part of the Royals series and is 295 pages long. Contemporary wise Fallen Heir belongs to Young Adult, Young Adult Romance and Teen Angst.

Description: These Royals will ruin you.

Easton Royal has it all: looks, money, intelligence. His goal in life is to have as much fun as possible. He never thinks about the consequences because he doesn’t have to.

Until Hartley Wright appears, shaking up his easy life. She’s the one girl who’s said no, despite being attracted to him. Easton can’t figure her out and that makes her all the more irresistible.

Hartley doesn’t want him. She says he needs to grow up.  She might be right.

Rivals. Rules. Regrets. For the first time in Easton’s life, wearing a Royal crown isn’t enough. He’s about to learn that the higher you start, the harder you fall.

Fallen Heir - RentasticReads.jpg

Overall thoughts: Are you ready to get Royally Ruined, again? The first three books in the Royal Series: Paper Princess, Broken Prince and Twisted Palace rocked the book universe so much that many readers and bloggers were demanding for more books. And the dynamic duo of Erin Watt has finally delivered my dear readers! Everyone swooned over Reed who was the center of the first trio of Royal books; but a lot of the Royals fan base drooled over Easton, Reed’s younger brother: another Royal son with charm, a bad boy attitude and even bigger problems. But fans still flocked to him for some reason and cried out for his own story to be heard.

Well guys…Erin Watt is finally telling it. I honestly don’t even know where to begin with you honestly. Fallen Heir is a game changer! Erin Watt is known for twists and turns (one of their books is Twisted Palace if that gives you any indication.) but this book changes the Royals series completely. I believe I said something similar to that when Twisted Palace came out last fall, ironic really. But back to Easton! No spoilers in this review so no worries for anyone who doesn’t want to get spoiled but Easton is a mess.

I was a bit disappointed with Easton because he was a mess in the first three books and he’s an even bigger mess in Fallen Heir. A lot of bloggers have swooned over him after reading Fallen Heir and I want to do the complete opposite, I want to slap him and give him a good reality check. Easton is attractive, smart and has a good sense of humor but none of that matters because of his actions in Fallen Heir.

If there was an award for a character that made the worst decisions in the world and said really horrible things…Easton Royal would have the biggest trophy in the world.

That being said…I still loved Fallen Heir and I loved the story and the ending! Oh my goodness the ending! Erin Watt might’ve written a better cliff hanger with Fallen Heir than Sierra Simone, who completely ripped my heart out with the cliff hanger for American Prince. Fallen Heir is definitely worth buying and reading and is still a great Young Adult Romance read. Easton might annoy and frustrate me, but there’s another book coming out next year and hopefully will focus on a redemption for him.

The one thing I didn’t like about Fallen Heir was that the POV was just Easton. Erin Watt did the same thing for Paper Princess and had two POV’S in Broken Prince so I’m assuming they are going to be doing that for Easton’s next book. But I would’ve loved to learn more about Hartley and get her view on things, I think it would of read better as a book that way. But maybe that’s just me and the fact that Easton annoyed me 90% of this book! Probably!

Anyway! I highly recommend Fallen Heir and the other Royals books. I thought Twisted Palace was crazy but apparently Fallen Heir is just the beginning of the crazy, wild ride that is the Royals series. Buckle up kids, I have a feeling Easton is going to ruin us more than Reed did.

Hartley and Easton had a very slow burn start which I usually am all about, but the bickering and craziness didn’t really satisfy my couple chemistry rating. Nonetheless, they definitely have something there and I’m sure it will come full circle in the next book.

The Cover: This cover is great because it has to many elements to it. The model looking at the viewer, the flowers, the large print of the title. Everything flows together very nicely and I really love it.

Basics: Come Back To Me was released on August 23rd 2017 and is 226 pages. Genre Wise Come Back To Me belongs to second chance romance and contemporary romance.

Description: Come Back To Me. What does one do when everyone you love dies?
How much is a woman supposed to take before she crumbles?
How much?
Adriana Jensen is the woman to ask.
She’s lost too many people to count.
The one death that destroyed her the most
was her husband’s.
Only… he didn’t die.
What does one do when forced to walk away from his wife?
How much will it take to win her back?
How much?
Blake Jensen, Adriana’s estranged husband, is the man to ask.
He has one question to ask himself.
How much will it take for her to come back to me?

Overall thoughts: Come Back To Me had a great, heart-wrenching story and the love between Blake and Adriana was sizzling and filled my heart with joy as I was reading it. However that being said, the way it was written became very confusing to read at times; there was A LOT of things that happened within the story and between the characters that as a reader it was a lot to take in. I almost wanted to stop reading, re-read several pages and grab a notebook so I could write down everything just to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

Although Come Back To Me was hard to understand plot wise a lot of the time, the love between Adriana and Blake amazed me. I am a big fan of happy endings and love when it comes to reading books, but it’s books like these that make me just want to cry and swoon at the same time. Come Back To Me is a great romance pick for anyone who loves heartbreaking, swoon worthy second chance romances!

Release Blitz & Blog Tour: Hollywood Scandal by Louise Bay

HollywoodScandal.Ebook.v3.jpg

HE’S A HOLLYWOOD SUPERSTAR. SHE’S LITERALLY THE GIRL NEXT DOOR.
One of Hollywood’s A-listers, I have the movie industry in the palm of my hand. But if I’m going to stay at the top, my playboy image needs an overhaul. No more tabloid headlines. No more parties. And absolutely no more one night stands. Filming for my latest blockbuster takes place on the coast of Maine and I’m determined to stay out of trouble. But trouble finds me when I run into Lana Kelly.

She doesn’t recognize me, she’s never heard of Matt Easton and my million dollar smile doesn’t work on her. Ego shredded, I know I should keep my distance, but when I realize she’s my neighbor I know I’m toast. There’s no way I can resist temptation when it’s ten yards away.

She has a mouth designed for pleasure and legs that will wrap perfectly around my waist. She’s movie star beautiful and her body is made to be mine.

Getting Lana Kelly into my bed is harder than I’m used to. She’s not interested in the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, but I’m determined to convince her the best place in the world is on the red carpet, holding my hand.

I could have any woman in the world, but all I want is the girl next door.

A sexy, standalone romance.

Excerpt:  Matt Easton: “You have a boyfriend?”

She took another sip of wine and set it back on the table before she replied. “You’ve half asked that before.”

I chuckled. True. Not that I was going to act differently if she told me—either way I needed to keep my distance. I just wanted to meet the man who had managed to land this woman. “And I’m still coming up empty.” I glanced at the rise and fall of her creamy breasts, only barely covered by her camisole, and swallowed. Hard. I really should leave.

“See that?” she asked, pointing up over the ocean. “Lightning. And again.”

“Wow, that nearly cut the sky in half.”

Our eyes locked first in excited, shared understanding and then the connection transformed into something that had nothing to do with the lightning. She looked away first. I would have stayed, my eyes fixed on hers the whole night, if she hadn’t. “The air feels charged with something.”

“I don’t have a boyfriend,” she whispered.

It was an invitation, and not one I wanted to turn down. I wanted to touch her, see if her lips were as soft as they looked.

“I want to kiss you,” I said, shifting so that she, and not the storm, had all my attention.

The thunder rumbled again.

Despite the noise surrounding us, I could only focus on the sound of her breathing. My pulse jumped under my skin, at my neck, in my wrists, in my dick.

I really shouldn’t be doing this.

But it was just a kiss.

And she was so beautiful.

And then it would be over.

I slid my thumb over her bottom lip. “Look at me,” I said.

My gaze flickered down as her breasts rose with her breath. It took every ounce of control not to yank her cami down and put my mouth on that warm, soft, pliant flesh.

As I looked at her, our eyes locked, and this time heat passed back and forth between us, growing more scorching with each passing moment.

She wanted me to kiss her. Maybe even strip her naked on this deck and fuck her hard and long until I knew every part of her.

I groaned, blood rushing to my dick, and leaned in to press my lips softly on the corner of her mouth. Her breath was hot and heavy against my cheek. I dropped my hand to her ass and slid her onto my lap.

Wrapping my hands around her silky hair that smelled of the ocean, I pulled, tilting her head back and exposing her neck.

I’d been kidding myself to think this was just a kiss. I wasn’t sure if it was because it had been so long since I’d fucked someone new or whether it was the storm or just the way Lana looked at me, but my whole body reverberated with lust. I wanted to touch, hold, possess her.

I trailed my teeth along her jaw and she squirmed in my lap. I slid my palms up her thighs and lifted her so she was straddling me.

Just a kiss. Right.

I wanted her closer, so I wrapped my hand around the back of her neck and brought her mouth to mine in a fractured, desperate connection. With my other hand, I pushed her ass against me. The heat of her covered pussy against my erection made me groan. Sliding my tongue against the seam of her lips, I delved deeper. Fuck, I’d forgotten how hot making out could be. The stuff before the fucking. Before my reform, it had been all about release. All about seeing how fast I could have a woman’s mouth wrapped around my cock after making eye contact with her.

But not now. Not out here on the porch with Lana. All I could think about was how I couldn’t fuck her, how I’d never make it that far.

She smelled so damn good. Tasted even better.
