ARC Review: One More Time by Laurelin Paige

one 1.jpg
The Cover: There have been so many good book covers with couples on them lately and I am head over heels for One More Time‘s cover! It embodies Jenna and Tanner perfectly, I love it! A+

Basics:One More Time was released on May 2nd 2018. Genre wise One More Time belongs to contemporary romance and second chance romance.

Description: Ten years ago, we were the toast of the town.
Tanner’s acting career had just begun. He was hotter than the stage lights, and twice as captivating. The gorgeous Australian A-lister was everyone’s teenage dream. And he’d picked or so I thought, until he proved to be as false as everything else about Hollywood. Now I’ve finally scored the perfect opportunity to star in a major film. The kicker? Tanner will be my co- star. I don’t know if I can do this one more time….

Right now, we’re the talk of the town.
Jenna’s even more beautiful than she was the last time we were together. And just like before, I can’t keep my hands off her. She still doesn’t know the truth. The secret of what really happened back then. Now I have the length of this shoot to convince her to rewrite our script. But if I have her one more time, will once ever be enough?
One More Time.jpgOverall thoughts: I want to start off by saying how much of a talented Laurelin Paige is! She just has this way with words that just transports you into the heart and mind of the character she’s narrating through and it is one of the most greatest reading experiences I’ve ever had. Second chance romance is one of my favorite genres when it comes to the romance community and book world; everyone loves seeing two people come back together after time and distance. It’s dramatic, romantic and in a way reminds us that sometimes love doesn’t fade. It doesn’t always happen but when it does, it’s magical.

Jenna used to be a well known model, now she’s putting up her heels from the runaway and trying to dive into the waters of acting. However this is Hollywood and nothing ever comes easy, she’s feeling pretty down about herself and her acting future until her agent offers her a deal of a lifetime. Problem is…she would act and reunite with Tanner, the man who broke her heart ten years ago. After deciding she can push away her broken heart, she rallies herself and signs on to act in the movie with Tanner, knowing that even if though their time together may be difficult she knows in the end it will help her.

Tanner is completely blown away when he sees Jenna again; she’s still the same woman he knew before but also different. The same feelings that withered between them ten years ago seem to blossom again, but Jenna wants to stay professional and Tanner suddenly finds himself falling for her all over again. You can’t fight fate and these two are definitely meant to be together.

One More Time is a beautiful second chance romance story with two characters struggling to figure out how they feel for one another. It’s one of my favorite tropes because as you read it, you really aren’t sure what’s going on or what happened between these two people but you juts want them to make it work! That’s how it is for me when it comes to reading second chance romance anyway! Tanner and Jenna are an electric couple and I loved how they couldn’t stay away from each other, even after ten years. One More Time is a great second chance romance read and if you are a fan of this genre you will definitely love it as much as I did!

ARC Review & Release Blitz: Manic Monday by Piper Rayne

PRManicMondayBookCover5x8_MEDIUM
The Cover: I love this cover so much! I think covers that have couples on them are so much fun and I love to try and catch the character’s personalities on them from the book. A+

Basics:Manic Monday was released on April 26 2018. Genre wise Manic Monday belongs to contemporary romance.

Description: The perfect man for me is a blood-sucking lawyer.
#pfftwhatever
Been there.
Done that.
Burned the T-shirt.
I didn’t swear off all men after my divorce, but I sure as hell swore off anyone remotely like my ex. On the top of that list? Attorneys. Everyone knows they can’t be trusted.

Now that I’m back in Chicago, my focus is my daughter, my mom and me. I haven’t given up on finding my happily-ever-after, it’s just on hold—indefinitely.

Then I see Reed Warner again, and he weasels his way into every part of my life, not willing to take no for an answer.

In spite of my better judgment I can’t stop thinking about the way his designer suits fit his muscular frame, or the way his blue eyes seem to eat me up with every glance.

You know when you’re on a diet and even hummus seems irresistible? Reed is like the equivalent of chocolate éclair and my willpower is fading fast.

The problem? Not only is he a lawyer…
He was the best man at my wedding.
Manic Monday.jpgOverall thoughts: One of my goals for book blogging this year was to read and promote authors that I haven’t read before. I read the synopsis for Piper Rayne’s Manic Monday, was immediately intrigued and signed up to review it. I am SO glad I did! This was my first Piper Rayne book and honestly I am very impressed. These two authors team up well write and they certainly know how to write a funny, romantic, heartfelt story.

Victoria just came back home to Chicago after a bitter divorce with her young daughter. Taking care of her ill mother, seven year old and spirited daughter and starting a new job is a lot, so she definitely doesn’t need a man or any sort of romance in her life. No way Jose! However a chance meeting from the past could change everything for Victoria, but there are a few problems. Sure Reed is gorgeous, hard working, funny and successful but Victoria definitely doesn’t want to be with a lawyer like her ex.  There’s also the issue of how Reed was the best man at her and ex husband’s wedding years ago too.

Nevertheless Reed is persistent to try and date Victoria, much to her objections. She believes there are too many check marks in the con column of this budding relationship and isn’t too keen on starting over with someone, being still bitter about her divorce. But above everything, Reed might be exactly what she needs to being happy again. Can you be happy after a divorce with several responsibilities in the way? You’ll have to read Manic Monday to find out!

Reed and Victoria are probably going to be one of my top couples of 2018. Victoria is a hardworking, resilient, strong willed, funny mother who just wants to build a good life for her and her mother and daughter. She’s completely focused on them and creating a future for them which is great but it made me a bit sad that she was okay for that. Being successful, a good mom and daughter are great, but everyone deserves their own happiness. Fictional or not! That is where Reed comes in; he is such a GREAT leading guy! Oh my goodness, I seriously have heart eyes as I’m typing this right now! I adore him! He’s funny, kind, persistent (in a very good way!), hardworking, caring, smart, sexy! He really is a good match for Victoria and I love their banter between each other and their chemistry just sizzled right off the page as I read their wonderful story!

I loved Manic Monday so much! It will be one of my top reads of 2018 and I will certainly be on the lookout for future Piper Rayne releases!

Review: Crave Me by Stacey Lynn

c 1.jpg
The Cover: I love this cover…I do…HOWEVER there is one big detail that annoys me the living daylights out of me. Chloe is a blonde. Which I find ironic because for the first book, Dominate Me in the Luminous series the woman on the cover is blonde and the heroine is not blonde! What the heck?! These two need to switch. I know what I’m saying might seem silly to you but it is seriously something that drives me NUTS. Match the cover with the story and characters please! I still love it though! A+

Basics: Crave Me was released on May 29th 2017, is 228 pages long and was published by Carina Press. Genre wise Crave Me belongs to contemporary romance, BDSM, Dom/Sub.

Description: Chloe: I know I shouldn’t covet my sister’s ex-boyfriend.

She may have wanted nothing to do with his BDSM lifestyle, but I’m a born submissive. And the only place I want to be is under Simon’s command.  But he won’t go near me. Not with the memory of her so close. That leaves me no choice. If he won’t touch me when he knows who I am, I’ll have to come to him in disguise. He’s worth the risk. I’m meant to be his. Now I just have to prove it to him.

Simon: Being a Dominant cost me my first love, but I can’t deny who I am. I won’t. Control and power are everything, and the way I keep mine is by playing only with experienced subs. No exceptions. Until I met her. She wore a mask, but I knew the moment our lips touched she was meant to belong to me. Young, new to the world of BDSM—I knew training her would be a risk.  I didn’t know it would destroy me.

Overall thoughts: The first book in the Luminous series, Dominate Me blew me away. Haley and Jensen were perfection and I had high expectations starting Crave Me…and I was not disappointed! Although the Luminous series is set in the dark world of dom/sub and BDSM I really admired how Lynn still made it more than a dark romance and kept Crave Me in the contemporary romance category. Consent and communication is a huge topic in relationships nowadays, (as it always should be!) and my heart goes out to the leading man Simon who obviously got screwed over. No major spoilers but I’m glad what happened with Simon and Chloe’s sister (she who must not be named because she sucks) was brought up because it’s obviously relative. Anyway! Chemistry wise Simon and Chloe are great and I am hoping we will see more of them in the third upcoming Luminous book. I am mega excited for Bennett too! I love this series a lot and I definitely recommend it!c 2.jpg

ARC Review: Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas

Birthday-Girl-EBOOKThe Cover: I love the cover of Birthday Girl! I think it’s so interesting, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a book cover with a picture within the title. A+

Basics: Birthday Girl was released on April 17th 2018 and is part of the Kindle Unlimited program. Genre wise Birthday Girl belongs to contemporary romance, age difference/age gap romance and standalone.

Description:  JORDAN: He took me in when I had nowhere else to go.
He doesn’t use me, hurt me, or forget about me. He doesn’t treat me like I’m nothing, take me for granted, or make me feel unsafe.
He remembers me, laughs with me, and looks at me. He listens to me, protects me, and sees me. I can feel his eyes on me over the breakfast table, and my heart pumps so hard when I hear him pull in the driveway after work.
I have to stop this. It can’t happen.
My sister once told me there are no good men, and if you find one, he’s probably unavailable.
Only Pike Lawson isn’t the unavailable one. I am.

PIKE: I took her in, because I thought I was helping.
She’d cook a few meals and clean up a little. It was an easy arrangement.
As the days go by, though, it’s becoming anything but easy. I have to stop my mind from drifting to her and stop holding my breath every time I bump into her in the house. I can’t touch her, and I shouldn’t want to.
The more I find my path crossing hers, though, the more she’s becoming a part of me.
But we’re not free to give into this. She’s nineteen, and I’m thirty-eight.
And her boyfriend’s father.
Unfortunately, they both just moved into my house.
*BIRTHDAY GIRL is a stand-alone, contemporary romance suitable for ages 18+.

Teaser-1 (1)Overall thoughts: It’s been a long time I’ve reviewed for Penelope Douglas! I loved her other book Punk 57 so much and I am so thankful I was given the opportunity to read and review for her again! Here’s the lowdown on Birthday Girl: Jordan is a hardworking but struggling nineteen year old trying to navigate her way through life with her boyfriend Cole. Pike is Cole’s father trying to stay in his son’s life and keep a relationship with him after struggling to do so for many years. When tensions rises and become rocky between Jordan and Cole, she finds herself in an odd situation with Cole’s father. Not only does she grapple with the fact that she’s starting to feel drawn toward her boyfriend’s father but also the fact that the man she is starting to feel things for is nineteen years older than she is. Which is ironic because that is Jordan’s age.

Birthday Girl was great full of witty lines that made me smile and laugh. The plot was really done and I really loved the chemistry and slow burn romance between Pike and Jordan. I also think that love happens randomly and at the best and worst possible of times and I really enjoyed that aspect when it came to reading Birthday Girl. Overall I loved this book and I plan on adding it to my bookshelf very soon!

Dominate Me by Stacey Lynn

d 2.jpgThe Cover: I think the cover for Dominate Me is gorgeous BUT I have ONE HUGE issue with it. The main female character in Dominate Me, Haley is NOT blonde, she’s brunette. So why make the woman on the cover blonde? It makes no sense and is misleading!

Basics: Dominate Me was released on January 16th, 2017 and published by Carina Press. Dominate Me is 201 pages long.

Description:
Welcome to Luminous: where your pleasure is our purpose.

Haley: The first time I felt Master Jensen’s presence beside me, I knew he would be the one to show me all the kinky pleasures of Luminous.

That I would give my body to him. Begin my journey to sexual freedom at his feet. But when I dared raise my eyes to his, I saw he would get a part of me no man had had before: my trust.

Jensen: From the instant I saw her blush, I was captivated.
There was power in her innocence—a power I quickly controlled.

Every moan, every cry, every new awakening was mine. I pushed her boundaries and watched her sexual confidence grow…knowing that in the end, I would have to let her go.

I know the price of love and I’m not willing to pay it.
I dominated her body and she enthralled my heart.
But I have to walk away before I ruin the one I love.
Again.
d 1.jpg
Overall thoughts: I loved Dominate Me! I thought it was going to be another BDSM love story but it was different and I really enjoyed it. Haley was a great character and I loved watching her character growth. Jensen was very alpha male like but I also really liked how he grew to love Haley and how well he took care of her. Dominate Me was a hot, steamy, romantic read and I’m really excited for more books in Stacey Lynn’s Luminous series!

Review: Outwait by Lisa Suzanne

o1.jpg
The Cover:
Outwait cover is hot but for some reason I wish it was a couple cover with Carson and Sylvie on it. I like abs but I wanted a better representation of the book’s couple for this. Or maybe even the model’s face with a moody glare? I don’t know but something is miss. B+

Basics: Outwait was released on June 1st 2017 and is 292 pages long. Genre wise Outwaitbelongs to romance and contemporary romance.

Description: From the outside, Carson King looks like he has it all. He’s next in line to be CEO of King Communications, he’s hot and single, and he’s at the center of the New York social scene. He has a different woman on his arm every night, and he wouldn’t change a single thing about his life…until Sylvie Baker storms into his boardroom.

Sylvie Baker actually does have it all. She balances a successful career with the perfect boyfriend—a man she plans to marry someday. She wouldn’t change a single thing about her life…until Carson King challenges everything with one simple confession.

Sylvie is intent on fighting her feelings. Carson’s convinced it’s just a waiting game.
But how long is he willing to wait for her?
o2.jpg
Overall thoughts: Outwait was a joy to read, I tend to lean more towards the angst kind of contemporary romances because I find those more interesting and Outwait was a great combination of that. I also find it rare in the romance book universe and especially real life that any kind of person would simply just wait for the person they cared about or wanted. It’s rare guys! So Outwait is like a unicorn in a way, still around but hidden in plain sight. I adored Carson and Sylvie. Although Carson was the typical bad boy in any contemporary romance novel, he had some hidden undertones that I really enjoyed. For example, it is SO RARE that authors write about the main guy having intimate relations with anyone but the main woman and Suzanne showcased that. Did I mind? No because I feel like it gave a deeper insight into Carson. Another hidden undertone was just how Carson waited for Sylvie, it was very sweet to read about. Also how dang relatable is Sylvie?! I mean how many people struggling with wanting to move with their lives with something new and better, but have a hard time letting go? I really, really love how Suzanne brings real life circumstances into her books and I greatly appreciate how relatable her characters and stories are. I love Outwait! My only complaint was that I wished it was longer! (Nothing new when it comes to my reviews, I always want more! I’m greedy! Sorry not sorry 😛 )

Review: The Swedish Prince by Karina Halle

s4.jpg
The Cover: I like the colors of this cover, they look well together and leap off the page but I am disappointed at the model. He’s gorgeous but his expression is very, very odd and it makes me a bit uncomfortable to honest. Is he scoffing? is he smoldering? What is going on with his expression? C+

Basics: The Swedish Prince was released on March 21st 2018 and is 458 pages long. Genre wise The Swedish Prince belongs to contemporary romance.
s1.jpgDescription: I never believed in fairy-tales. Never held out for Prince Charming.

Growing up poor in small-town California as the oldest of six siblings, I knew I would never ride off into the sunset with anyone. That was even more apparent when a senseless tragedy took the lives of my parents, forcing me to become the sole guardian of our dysfunctional household at the mere age of twenty-three.

Then a fateful encounter literally brought Prince Charming to my dusty doorstep. At first I thought Viktor was just your average businessman passing through, albeit obscenely handsome, six-foot-five, blue-eyed, and mysteriously rich.

But soon I discovered the truth behind Viktor’s façade.

Beneath his quiet, enigmatic gaze and cocky charm, is a man who is running away from who he really is. A role he’d rather not fulfill.

He is Viktor of House Nordin, His Royal Highness, The Crown Prince of Sweden.
Yet uncovering Viktor’s secret was only the first step.
I didn’t expect to fall in love with him.
I didn’t expect to have my whole life turned upside down.
When you’re from two different worlds, can your hearts meet somewhere in the middle?
Or do happily-ever-afters only exist in fairy-tales?
The Swedish Prince is a standalone romance inspired by Roman Holiday.
The Swedish Prince.jpgOverall thoughts: The Swedish Prince was my first Karina Halle book and I can’t believe I hadn’t read any of her books up until now! I loved this book! Viktor and Maggie are such an amazing couple and I immediately wanted them to be together and rooted for them! Viktor is a Prince of Sweden and Maggie is a cleaning lady/guardian to her five younger siblings, they really do come from different places. When it comes to romance stories like this, a Prince falling in love with a commoner it’s usually the same old song and dance: they have a hard time being together because one person is royalty and the other isn’t. That trope is a little bit different for The Swedish Prince and I really liked that aspect.

Here’s the skinny: Viktor is about to be King of Sweden because his brother suddenly passed away. Immediately his freedom and the future he envisioned for himself is ripped away from him and he’s also struggling with grief over his brother as well. Maggie isn’t doing so hot either, she went from going to college on a scholarship in New York City to going back to California working as a cleaning lady for a local hotel AND taking care of her younger siblings. Young and I mean YOUNG kids. Maggie is only twenty-three years old, her dreams have been ripped away and again taking care of five younger siblings would be daunting for ANYONE.

Fate brings Viktor and Maggie together and honestly the chemistry of these two had me blushing. How they met was hilarious but what it blossomed into was just so sweet and heartwarming combined with a chemistry that leaps off the page makes them one heck of a couple! The Swedish Prince was such a unexpected surprise for me, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good contemporary romance/royal story and I will definitely be looking out for future Karina Halle books!

The Cover: I love this cover! The details in it are so eye catching and so beautiful that I honestly just want to keep staring at it.

Basics: Shadow Wings was released on February 8th 2018 and is 383 pages. Genre Wise Shadow Wings belongs to Mature Young Adult, Fantasy and Romance.

Description: I will never be controlled again. A manipulative dragon shifter. A sexy phaetyn prince. Me? I shouldn’t even exist.

With peace established in Verald, I should be free; Lord Tyrrik is liberated from his blood oath, after all. But the freedom in Verald is an illusion. If I remain, destruction will surely follow.

As soon as I come into my powers, the blood-thirsty emperor of Draecon will know. Even now, he is hunting me.

When a Phaetyn prince arrives promising safety, the solution seems perfect. A little too perfect. But is the objective of our group security or something more? Because everyone is telling me what my goals should be.

Who do you trust when everyone has lied to you?
Should I listen with my head – or my heart?
I might not get a choice.
raye.pngOverall thoughts: Please do not continue reading unless you’ve read Blood Oath before continuing with this review, minor spoilers ahead. You’ve been warned!!

At the end of Blood Oath we left Ryn in a bit of a difficult situation. She was still dealing with the aftermath of being in the castle and dealing with Irrik’s betrayal and lies. It’s a bit of whirlwind when you find out that someone you deeply love not only lied and concealed themselves from you but was also the main reason your home and a lot of the people you lived were destroyed. Oh and she also found out she’s part dragon on top of everything so that’s a problem.

I really admire Ryn’s tenacity in Shadow Wings because she is one heck of a woman. She’s been kidnapped, abused, tortured, lied to and betrayed, yet she is just determined to keep moving forward. She sets out with Dyter and Tyrrick on a mission for safety but finds something herself pulled back into the mess of her country instead. Not only does she have all that on her plate, she and Tyrrick still have a lot to talk about and it doesn’t look like he’s going to give up on her anytime soon.

Shadow Wings expands on the amazing story that Blood Oath started and makes me crave even more books in the Darkest Drae series! I am so excited to see what happens next!

Her works include The Tainted AccordsThe After Trilogy, and The Darkest Drae. A New Zealander in origin and in heart, Kelly currently resides in Australia with her ginger-bearded husband, a great group of friends, and some huntsman spiders who love to come inside when it rains. Their love is not returned.

Raye Wagner:
As one of eight children, I learned to love reading as a means of escaping the chaos that comes with being a part of a large family. When I was a teenager, I read Leon Uris’s Exodus, and fell in love with the character, Kitty Fremont. Not only was I in love with Ari Ben Canaan (my first introduction to an alpha male), but I felt a connection with her, so much so that I pursued a career in nursing. I continued to collect books and read through college, and even as I established my career. Years later, I read the Twilight saga, my first introduction to YA literature as an adult. I was in Half-Price Books and picked up a middle-grade novel with a boy and a lightning bolt on the cover. I read the first page, and bought the first four Percy Jackson books. Isn’t this series fantastic? After that I was hooked, and YA literature became my genre of choice.

I live in Middle Tennessee with my husband and three children. My favorite things include trips to the beach, baking sweets (and eating them), Tae Kwon Do, and doing puzzles and Legos with my family.

ARC Review & Release Blitz: This Time Around by Stacey Lynn

ThisTimeAround-StaceyLynn-Amazon.jpg
The Cover: I love this cover! I think it’s romantic, sensual and very intimate. I also love that a couple is featured instead of just one person and I think it is perfect for Cooper and Rebecca, A+.

Basics: This Time Around was released on April 10th 2018, published by Stacey Lynn Books and is 336 pages long. Genre wise This Time Around belongs to contemporary romance.

Description: Cooper Hawke was everything I didn’t need. Rich and famous, and a high-profile actor, he lived a life of luxury while my life had always been much more simple.

Yet when he showed up at my cattle ranch in Kansas, he gave me everything I didn’t think I wanted again.

His marriage was over and he was lost. I was still barely surviving in my grief after my husband’s sudden death.

As hard as I tried to keep him out, he slipped past my defenses, and slowly, a connection grew between us I could no longer deny.

But this time around, we were on borrowed time. Because Cooper still had his real life waiting for him back in Hollywood.

Overall thoughts: This Time Around was such an emotional, loving read! My heart completely fell apart for Cooper and Rebecca and what they were going through! Rebecca lost her husband and Cooper is dealing with an ugly divorce and the reality that his relationship wasn’t real. These two needed each other and that is exactly what Stacey Lynn did.

Cooper needs to escape his cheating wife, their numbing divorce and the pressures of Hollywood and his agent has the perfect escape. Staying the summer at a cattle ranch in Kansas. Rebecca is just trying to live day by day, hour by hour taking care of the ranch and animals. Keeping busy however isn’t stopping her from grieving her husband or healing the sadness and hurt she is feeling, until Cooper comes along anyway.

Cooper and Rebecca really touched my heart because they’ve been both dealt with terrible situations and you just want the best for them, even just reading about them I immediately wanted their situations fixed. Stacey Lynn does a fantastic job of doing that with her readers, you feel so close to her characters that they feel real to you. I really loved reading about their story and honestly how love can blossom even in the most desolate, darkened places. This Time Around is a good feel romance that will warm and touch your heart, a book that should be read when someone feels like things aren’t going well. This book is just a reminder maybe that what you’re going through isn’t forever and maybe the next time around things will work out.

About the Author: Stacey Lynn currently lives in Minnesota with her husband and four children. When she’s not conquering mountains of laundry and fighting a war against dust bunnies and cracker crumbs, you can find her playing with her children, curled up on the couch with a good book, or on the boat with her family enjoying Minnesota’s beautiful, yet too short, summer.

She lives off her daily pot of coffee, can only write with a bowlful of Skittles nearby, and has been in love with romance novels since before she could drive herself to the library.

ARC Review & Release Blitz: Love Rerouted by Leddy Harper

love re.png
The Cover: I love the cover and it’s overall vibe and color scheme! Everything blends together and the entire aesthetic of it is very pleasing. I also like how their is a couple on the cover instead of just one model, it’s a nice change and I think they look very good together, perfect for Maggie and Talon. A+

Basics: Getaway Car was released on April 4th 2018 and genre wise belongs to contemporary romance.

Description: I needed to get out of town but didn’t have a car.
He had nowhere to go and offered to drive.
Forty-eight hours was all we were given.
A lifetime wouldn’t have been enough.

She had something of mine.
And I was determined to get it back.
I thought it was just my getaway car she’d stolen.
I had no idea she’d captured my heart as well.

Overall thoughts:
Before I dive into my thoughts, I wanted to first discuss Leddy Harper. I am a huge fan of her and here is the great thing about her: she will break your heart then piece it back together again…all in one book! To me that’s an important aspect that every author should have in some shape or form, to make the reader feel something. With Harper it’s not just romance or attraction, she puts true emotion into her writing and characters and I just love it.

Getaway Car is a story about two people running from things but falling hard for each other. Maggie is an eighteen year old trying to escape a bad situation and Talon is also running from a bad situation, put these two together and you have one complicated, messy attraction and love story. They only had a few days together but they both made huge impacts on each other’s lives which is another trope of romance books I love so much, time skips and jumps. I do find that when people are apart yet they can only think about is one person very romantic.

The romance and the relationship between Maggie and Talon was great but my absolute favorite part of Getaway Car was the constant suspense and guessing game of the twists and turns throughout the plot! I couldn’t put it down! With the magnetic chemistry of the couple and my curiousness I devoured Getaway Car very quickly! No spoilers but once you pick up this book and start reading you won’t be able to stop because you won’t be able to put the book down! Getaway Car was a fantastic read and will be on my list of my favorite 2018 reads!

TheGetawayCar_Teaser6About the Author: Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters. She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.

The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
