Overall thoughts: Team Player is definitely a big, lengthy read. 1032 pages is nothing to joke about when it comes to romance books and neither is eleven fabulous authors teaming up to create a book! I don’t know why there’s a sudden rise in sports romance books lately in the book romance world but it’s definitely a hot genre right now. Team Player fits right into what is trending too! Sports romance aren’t my favorite to read about because I like drama and such when it comes to romance and for me it seems like a little cheesy, romance and sports? How is that going to work? But that’s just for my personal opinion; saying that however Team Player has something for everyone and I think it is the perfect holiday to escape to.

Overall thoughts: I completely adored The British Knight! It was such a pleasant surprise! Violet and Alexander have this electric, fun and sexy chemistry and they are an absolute joy to read about. I loved the story and Louise Bay does a fabulous job of creating characters that you can immediately relate to. Violet wants a fresh start and a do over while Alexander is working hard to live up to his father’s name and livelihood. Last but not least, love always seems to find us in the most unexpected places and that aspect plays a huge part in The British Knight and honestly I could gush about this book for hours. I adored it. Louise Bay definitely has a new fan and reader!

Excerpt: When the door is closed, I turn my attention back to her. “So, that was the husband, huh?”

“Ex.”

Stepping forward, I invade her personal space. Her eyes are alive with fire, but not in the way they were moment ago with the douche. No, her eyes dance with a heady mixture of excitement and lust as she glares back at me. “Watching you tear him apart and eat him alive was so fucking hot,” I confess, touching the side of her cheek with the side of my finger.

Her gasp echoes in the hall, invading my soul and filling my mind with dirty images. Ones of her and me, naked, and making little noises just like that. “I hear cold showers work wonders to help cool you down,” she suggests with a smirk.

“Shame. I’m sure you’d really know how to turn up the heat in the shower, firecracker.” Again, I touch her face. I can’t seem to stop touching her. She should probably run in the other direction, fast. Hell, I should run the other way as quickly as possible. The Cover: I am a big fan of Katy Evans, this is no secret if you’ve read my reviews before or visited this blog. So I’ve read all of her books but the cover of Tycoon is my favorite. There is just something about Chad Hurst (the cover model) and the look he gives the reader that is just like: “wow…he can see directly into my soul.” I am SO PICKY about book covers Tycoon is my absolutely favorite and it might actually be my favorite book cover of all time. A+++++

Basics: Tycoon was released on June 20th, 2017 and is 252 pages long. Genre wise Tycoon is contemporary romance, standalone and childhood romance.

Description: He wasn’t always this rich. This hot. This difficult.
Aaric Christos was a guy who protected me. Wanted me. Maybe even loved me.
That man is gone.
In his place is the most powerful real estate tycoon in the city.

Overall thoughts: Yay for Katy Evans first standalone book! I loved Tycoon! I always think it’s important for authors to try and connect with their readers and I definitely got that vibe from Tycoon. I think everyone can say that they loved someone when they were young or care deeply about someone. Maybe you are with that person right, maybe you aren’t…but there is a time in your life where you stop, take a look back and think what if? I really like exploring that type of romance narrative and I really enjoyed Aaric and Bryn’s story. Aaric is the perfect leading guy; although he didn’t have as much chapters compared to Bryn’s, I loved reading about his thoughts and feelings. Men are SO different than women so I really appreciate when an author writes from their POV.

Bryn is a kick ass woman who is driven, sassy and everything I want to be when I’m 29/30! I loved the dynamic between these two, the push and pull of will they, won’t they? I’m actually quite sad that Tycoon was a standalone because I want more of Aaric and Bryn! That is my constant issue with standalones haha! But all in all, I loved Tycoon and I think it was a great nicely wrapped present Katy Evans has given us at the start of the summer! I can guarantee that Tycoon will either win best cover of the year or be in my top ten reads of 2017.
