Sierra Simone has a new release American King coming out next week so in honor of that I thought I would review one of Summer 2017’s hottest releases. Both Sierra and Laurelin are amazing writers and I really love their books. Together they make an incredible team and I’m really excited to share my thoughts on Hot Cop with you guys!

The Cover: I like this cover a lot! I think it’s okay, it fits the story of the book perfectly and the model is very attractive. I like how his eyes are covered by glasses too giving off that ‘hot cop’ vibe. B+

Basics: Hot Cop was released on June 13th 2017 and is 288 pages long. Genre wise Hot Cop belongs to contemporary romance and cop romance.

Description:

Livia Ward wants a baby before she’s thirty. And even though Officer Chase Kelly is exactly the kind of cocky jerk this librarian has sworn off, he is undeniably hot. Both of them think they can give each other what they want–a few nights of fun for Officer Kelly, a no-strings baby for Livia–but this hot cop is about to learn that sex, babies, and love don’t always play by the rules.

Overall thoughts: Sierra Simone and Laurelin Paige are pure magic together, no seriously…they are literally the Disney version duo of the romance book world. Simone and Paige are fantastic writers, they create relatable and really attractive characters that make you root for them and covert them at the same time. Hot Cop is a great, funny and very steamy read. Livia Ward is a character that I think every person can relate to because let’s be honest, we all have a point in our lives where we are scared of how old we are getting or we fear we haven’t done enough in our lives. Suddenly the age you are about to become looms over your head and any age older than what you are is a death sentence.

I am about to turn twenty six on Saturday and I can relate so hard to Livia. But her situation is a little bit different because she fears she’s getting too old to have a child. Enter Mr. Hot Cop himself Chase Kelly. At first he really just wants to bed Livia and move on with his Hot Cop ways but when he hears her proposal, a contract to conceive a baby with her suddenly everything changes. These two have great chemistry, they are funny and they will make your toes curl when you read about them.

Hot Cop was one of my favorite summer reads and it’s a fantastic read if you’re into a story about two people clumsily falling in love and trying to make a baby at the same time while navigating everything else going around them. Hot Cop is currently on sale for $0.99 and is free to read if you’re part of the Kindle Unlimited program which I highly recommend doing! Happy Reading!

Seriously you guys this book might be my FAVORITE of the year it’s that good. I didn’t think anyone could live up to Remy but of course his son would step up and take over his spot! Inspired by Katy Evan first series, Real….Racer is a must read.

I adore Sierra Simone and her books and out of this world beautiful writing and characters. I fell head over heels in love with this series when I finished American Queen that being said….after I finished American Prince I was so heartbroken and ruined that I couldn’t read anything for almost two months. SO American King probably is my most anticipated release of the entire year and honestly if it doesn’t end well I’m gonna have to add more sessions with my therapist. Seriously…this series is that amazing and horrible because it makes you FEEL things!
